Lao Tzu: Tao Te Ching
Have you ever wondered what your greatest treasures are?
Lao Tzu writes that Simplicity, Patience, and Compassion are our greatest treasures. Taoism philosophy is based on these three pillars. Many of the principals of Traditional Chinese Medicine, of which Qi Gong is an integral part, are based on Taoism philosophy.
Two and a half millennia ago, the Chinese sage Lao Tzu wrote a poetic and profound short text known as the Tao Te Ching. With uncommon elegance, it crystallized the teachings of Taoist philosophy on such perennial matters as power, happiness, and the source of meaning in human life.
There are many translations of this book, sometimes including commentary on history and Taoism or interpretation of meaning of the verses.
