“Wood Element Meditation” with Rick Barrett
In this “Wood Element Meditation” we are shown a specific Qigong exercise focused on the Wood element. This closely resembles the Separating Heaven and Earth movement in the Baduanjin form that we practice. We are told to imagine Dragon Claws at the tips of our fingers that are stretching out.
By practicing this exercise you will be able to sense the reaching and stretching energy of the wood Qi in your meridians and the rest of your body. Like new green sprouts emerging through the ground after a long winter. You will lengthen your tendons and ligaments, allowing for more freedom of movement in your joints and muscles.
